- With over 1,260 images in the HISTORY Through the Ages Historical Timeline Figures collection, this guide will help with previewing how many images will fill a page in the future, allowing children to determine where to align the figures, as well as where to include their own annotations and additions!
- Having the child involved in looking up the location of figures helps in developing necessary research skills. Although this guide has the figures specifically placed, there is not just one set way! Children are encouraged to place the images where they see fit. This guide will help by giving a glimpse of what's to come, aiding your child in the decision making process!
I can't say enough about the collection of historical figures images. They're just beautiful! And with the CDs, you print them out in whatever size you need, for any project, not just for the timeline notebook (think coloring pages!). They're stored in web-browser format, which means I have the CDs saved into my Bookmarks Bar. When I want to print an image, I simply click on the bookmark, select the time period and find the image. Viola! You can also print them with or without the summary, which is a nice feature.
Some families color the images, but Mary didn't feel like it. I hope she wants to color them as we keep adding people and events; they would look so pretty colored with colored pencils, don't you think?
We added Mary and Anna's birthdays to the timeline notebook. I made the pictures with text in PicMonkey. I love that the pages are sturdy cardstock, and it all just looks so good!
The timeline notebook is very well-made; I know it will hold up for many, many years (like, she'll have this as a keepsake when she's married). It's wider than a normal-sized binder, but that's fine with me; it makes it easier to locate on my binder shelf.
I have heard good things about Homeschool in the Woods. I'd love to try it out.

We started a timeline when my first was in 1st but did not continue it because it was too much to keep up with. I would love to have the "already done" items to work with.
