I updated my tutor tri-fold board the other night before our Week 17 CC day. My friend, Tammi, saw a board like this at her CC Support Manager training recently. When she told me about it, I knew I wanted to do it, too. What an awesome way to remind our students and their parents that God really is at the center of everything!
... all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Colossians 1:16-17
Week 17 was really fun! Degas was our artist for the week, and the kids did a great art project!
Mary loves her Degas ballerina!
In other news, my sweet Anna is having some kidney issues.
They're swelling and the doctor is "puzzled." She's had numerous tests and an MRI, but no answers yet (although the MRI ruled out cancer - woot!). We have more tests scheduled in 3 months, but we're considering a second opinion. I don't know; it's just weird. She's not showing any symptoms that something's up, but obviously something is not right if her kidneys keep swelling.
So, if you think about it, please pray for us, for wisdom and peace; for Anna, good health and good attitude about all these appointments we seem to have all the time; for Mary, who has starting acting out a little, which I'm assuming is a result of this stress; and for the doctors, that they will have wisdom.
I know that God is good ALL the time, and I'm prepared to walk wherever He wants to lead me. It's just this waiting, this not knowing, which is difficult. However, I know that this is all part of it, the waiting. Hmmm... I think the Bible says a little something about waiting, right? ;)
This is my anchor-verse at the moment:
Be still and know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10
Thank you in advance for taking Anna's name to the throne, and I'll keep you posted. Now, go hug on your kiddos, even the big ones! :)
Melody, praying for all of you... for patience as you are waiting for direction, and for Anna - for answers, and for Anna -- for peace as she feels the stress in your home. Blessings to you all!
ReplyDeletepraying for sweet Anna tonight (and for peace in your heart and mind tonight!) much love!
