This planetarium is unique because it's the only one whose dome is made from a part of a space shuttle. How cool is that?! One of the perks of living in Rocket City, USA, I suppose! The presentation was a slide show projected onto both sides of the dome. We sat in comfy chairs on either side, leaned back (it was actually very relaxing), and enjoyed learning about God's marvelous works together!
It's a Wonderful Life is one of my favorite movies! Pretty cool!
So proud of Mary and her spelling! She did this all on her own! Not sure her drawing of the solar system if accurate, but, hey, it's a good try!
The galaxy presentation was very informative, but the speaker lost me after she showed us this picture:
This is a picture of the Whirlpool galaxy; it has a black hole with the shape of the cross inside it. AWESOME! I just couldn't stop praising God after she talked about this, and I'm very thankful that the speaker is a Christian and made a point to bring this up. The heavens really DO declare God's glory! Check out this video:
We had a wonderful morning, and I left with a new appreciation of just how BIG our God is! I'm looking forward to our trip to the US Space and Rocket Center at the end of this month!
The heavens declare the Glory of God;
and the firmament sheweth His handywork.
