Cycle 2 Field Trips - Already?

Gotcha! No, we're not going on Cycle 2 trips just yet, but I am starting to plan (because I'm just crazy like that). Here's what I've got so far:

Why, hello, Robin Hood and Maid Marian! In anticipation of studying the Middle Ages and beyond next year (btw, I can't say that without singing it the way it sounds on the new timeline song, anyone else?!), we are planning a late Spring trip to the Tennessee Renaissance Festival! It just so happens that my cousin works for this company! She travels around the country working these awesome festivals. We can't wait!

And of course, we can't study this time period without a trip to Atlanta's Medieval Times! The girls are going to LOVE this! I grew up in California, and I have many fond memories of going to the one in Buena Park. Seriously, who doesn't want to have baby dragon for dinner?! (yes, it's really just chicken, I know, I know. ;)  )

Now, these are just plans, and plans can certainly change. But I am having fun tossing around ideas and getting excited about what's to come in the next cycle. Do you have some good trip ideas for Cycle 2 next year? If so, please leave a comment; don't be shy now!

    1. Ha! Thanks for being an encouragement to ME, Suzanne! I know it's crazy to be thinking about Cycle 2 already, but I just LOVE to plan, it's just my thing. Girl, we have a Disney trip planned for NEXT December (2013), and I've already sucked the fun out of planning for it bc I've been doing it for so long. Ha! But thanks for dropping by, friend. I always love checking out your blog, too; you've got some GREAT ideas! :)

  2. Planetarium! Our local jr. college has one and it made for a fantastic field trip to correspond to Cycle 2 science labs.

    1. Yes, KM, that's a great idea for a trip! We actually now have a trip planned to our local planetarium and the US Space and Rocket Center (we live in Huntsville)! Thanks for stopping by, friend! :)
